The Department of Classical and Modern Languages at Truman State University offers majors and minors in Asian Studies, Classics, French, French for Translation, German, Greek, Italian Studies, Japanese, Latin, Romance Languages, Russian, Spanish, and Spanish for the Professions, and instruction in additional critical languages such as Arabic, Chinese and Portuguese.  Professional certifications by exam (open to all) can be earned in seven areas through the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  A Master of Arts in Education degree is offered in Spanish and French.
